Paula: could not do this without YOU! I like being among mortals--hot language! I like to use, "Yes, we ARE!" and you truly are doing it, daily, even when you are spreading good vibes, you are rocking it right.

I'm with you M Arsenia--and I really love your take on the quote. It is truly light-hearted work when working in community. I almost lost it yesterday and my friend looked at me and said--whoooooa, Nelly--take a breath! I was actually sitting there holding my breath, without knowing it. Amazing how a witness can shift a scene. Fyew!
Carabunga: I am so glad you are being nice to yourself, in every moment--and you are SO strategic. Use what you know works. When I get all spun out, like you described, I turn everything off: phone, computer, music, and get out a huge piece of white paper (3'x2') and a giant marker. I set a timer for 10 minutes to just barf out everything that's spinning--when the timer goes off, I pick 3 things I can accomplish (or that are *truly* urgent); then spend 15 mins on each of them (forced by timer). So, within one hour, I have made SOME kind of progress. What do you think?
Monica: I am SO happy for you. WOW, please tell me how you made it through Thanksgiving w/o sweets or bread? I need help on strategies around that--ate half a basket of tortilla chips yesterday!

Yes, thank you for setting this community in motion. The thing that gets me off my butt and moving the best is knowing that other mortals like me are doing it too. If they can do it, so can I; if they have an off day sometimes, so can I; if they get right back on the horse again, so can I. A community can say "Yes, we can", but as an individual member, it's just as powerful for me to say, "So can I!"

Hi Dyana,
today is day 14 for me and I am feeling good. I made it through a friends wedding and Thanksgiving dinner without dessert or bread and felt completely satisfied. In week 2 I reintroduced a fruit a day and am loving it.
I am inspired by todays post ... you did it - rain and all. Thanks for doing this.
... monica

I am stalling a little bit on staying on top of everything. It's so easy for to be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of what I have to do. That is when I stall out, sit there and worry about what to do and all the while stressed out about the time I'm wasting while stalling. At those moments, I'd honestly rather just drop all the balls right then and there, crawl into bed, and sleep it away. Or procrastinate by doing anything other than something I really have to.

It happened the other day when I had soooo much to do and I didn't know where to start. So I didn't do my must do's right away, I sat there and fiddled with my calendar and planner for two hours. Ate food. Sought out distractions. But then I wrote my 40day post and felt the fog clear!

Dyana, your honesty with everyone about your genuine humanity helps us stay open and honest with ourselves -- and forgiving! Doing the right thing isn't always fun, even when it is best. To shift the phrase a tad, instead of "Many hands make light work" how 'bout: "Many minds make light-hearted work!" Thank you for this community :-)

Thanks, Rodney! I love a good rah-rah session.
Jenn: MAN, thanks! It took a large spatula and a video camera to get my booty out the door--so glad I did. Knowing I'll sleep better (psych/physically) tonight. What are you doing for you?
