Amy: thank you so much for sharing here. YES, I do know what you mean. Even the softest rudder adjustment can mean the difference between Scotland and South Africa. Checking our "stars" by consistently checking our actions against the answers to these questions is imperative. I'd love to know more about how you advise clients in these situations.
Thomson: YAHOO, out of the goo, indeed. I'm so happy to hear you are in the physical. I really love the concept you put forth of yourself as "host and curator" on your site--brilliant. Do you know about the Creative Freelancers Conference in San Diego? http://www.creativefreelancerconference.com/GeneralMenu/ If you make it there--please stop by my breakfast roundtables.

Dyana-

The big question indeed... I'm delighted to report my new idea (once formless) is now in the physical. It took some time and action to get it out of the goo... now that it lives in the world, the key for me is to believe in it even more, even though I have no evidence (feedback) that it is a "good idea"... but I feel like I am being led, so I trust the process and lessen my attachment to results within a specific time frame...

I think the key to getting there is to simply keep moving...stuff shows up along the way, and the learning is part of the trip. And one more thing... whether I "get there" or not, I'm grateful to be simply playing in the game.

To your continued success... I like your stuff!

Dyana,

I love this post. I ask myself (and my clients) all of those questions and more. The thing that can be a challenge is what to do when you get off track. You know when you know where you want to go and where you are, but you find yourself 150 miles off course. Know what I mean?

You ROCK!

Love,
Amy Ahlers

Thanks for your comment, Larry. I often hear from clients that they struggle with their bearings. Take very good care of yourself in this transition and get in touch to talk more. I am on your side.

Do any other readers have comments or suggestions of support for Larry?

These are questions that matter.
So often I find that I just don't know where I am headed, and even with strong passions, perhaps especially because of them, I feel confused and alarmed. Let's explore these issues in depth, Dyana; thank you for raising them.
