    The push is resonating with me… getting back into theater directing is always looping back into my life. It's always part of my future plan. Maybe I have to clarify the passion (the specific project or aspect), and the deep benefits.

    Hey Dyana! Actually, I've made a slight change of plans. As I've gotten more and more excited about running, and talked to a couple of people who have done things like this, I've realized that running 1000 miles or so over the course of 3 months isn't out of the question. So I've decided to RUN instead of bike. I'm working on building up my mileage, and as soon as I'm done with my degree in July, I'm going to start hashing out more of the financial details etc.

    My passion is to tell stories through film. Through images and words, but mostly images. To master the craft of story-telling so as to communicate my own stories in new, clear, vivid terms.

    The push is not my current screenplay, the wonderful story it lays the plan for, but the completion of this screenplay. It is ready, the public, the times and the characters in the story currently tell me. I tell myself but apparently with just a few ounces less than the required earnestness.

    The process is a race I am allowed to walk (‘do not hurry, do not rest’), though throughout the steady pace there have been mad sprints here and there when a feeling or my own conscious effort compels me. Where am I in relation to the finish line?

    I have a good view of the satin ribbon I am to break though. In fact the shadow it casts sometimes slides over my shoes (depending on which direction the wind blows). I’ve been looking at it from above for a considerable time now. All I need is to lift one leg up and forward, pulling the rest of my weight with me as I place that leg down across the end. Have I already raised this foot, or is it still planted on the rubber track? Who’s watching from the stands, or do I stand before my finish line alone, just me in a giant empty stadium?

    Past this finish line and the many others I’ll soon cross lies the profit, the millions of people my stories will engage, entertain and enlighten. And of course the happiness and peace I’ll enjoy from fulfilling my destiny. I hear the money’s good, too.
